3 Plays - August 10-26, 2017
The title says it all. For much of his career, Alfred Hitchcock was inspired by San Francisco. And now returned the favor with Twisted Hitchcock. The suspense, the glamour, the mommy issues. an evening of parodies of three of Hitchcock’s masterpieces, all with an LGBT bent.
Gay detective Milton stumbles upon the Bates Motel in his search for a missing woman. Due to car troubles, he is forced to stay at the motel overnight. But something doesn’t feel right. Why are there no other guests? Why is that owner dude so damn creepy? And why do the eyes on that painting in the bathroom keep moving? Death comes to a small New England town on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Was it a murder, an accident or something else? What does the letter in the red envelope say? And perhaps most importantly, where did Mary buy those fabulous shoes? As five movie extras get ready for their close-up, they realize their kind will once again be portrayed by Hollywood as psychotic, suicidal menaces to humanity. But these birds are about the queer the system by going off script and winging it. Whether your idea of fun is a cozy nest and breakfast or a hardcore feather bar. Master Bates
