Left Coast Theater Co. is a non-profit organization that promotes the artistic work of the LGBTQ and allied communities in order to promote diversity, encourage dialogue and provide an opportunity for unique voices to be heard.

Monday September 9th they will be at Strut to perform a staged reading of the play "The Princess and the Pornstar" by Kirk Shimano

About the Play
Kirby is a gay man working in a straight world: a heterosexual BDSM fetish pornography production world, to be precise. Celeste Sparxx is the company’s star performer. When a travel mix-up leaves the two of them stranded in San Francisco together, will the weekend
feel more like bonding or bondage? "The Princess and the Porn Star" follows these two unlikely companions as their trek to the city's most iconic tourist traps leads them to unexpected depths of pleasure and pain.

About the Playwright
Kirk Shimano is a San Francisco Bay Area-based playwright. His works tend to live on the intersection of Gay Street and Nerdy Avenue, exploring the human side of lovesick zombies, drunken robots, and sexually confused computers. He has worked with a number of theater companies in the San Francisco indie scene, including the San Francisco Olympians, Wily West, PlayGround, PianoFight, and San Francisco Theater Pub.
